ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

1991 Awarded Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Archaeology from the University of Western Australia. BA includes a double major in archaeology and minors in ancient history and history.
2001Completed Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of Geography, University of Western Australia. The research project concerns the archaeology and historical geography of Asian cultural heritage in nineteenth century Northwest Australia.

APPOINTMENTS

Appointed by the Hon Minister for the South West, as a Member of the South West Development Authority (now Peel Development Commission) Interim Advisory Committee 1991-1993.

Subsequently appointed as Chairperson of the Community Development Sub-committee 1991-1993.

Member of the scientific team on the Calvert Centenary Expedition 1996 to retrace the route of the 1896 Calvert Expedition through the deserts of W.A., organised by the Land Rover Group under the aegis of the Royal Geographic Society in London.
